Where to Find Your Steam Trade URL
Your Steam trade URL is the address another account sends you a trade offer at. It is not your profile link, and the two are easy to confuse: a profile URL identifies you, a trade URL authorises someone to offer you a trade. Any site that sends you skins needs the second one.
Finding It
- Open Steam and go to your Inventory.
- Click Trade Offers in the top right.
- Choose Who can send me Trade Offers?
- Scroll to Third-Party Sites and copy the URL in that box.
It looks like this, with your own numbers in place of the two values:

Both halves matter. partner is your account, token is the permission.
A link missing either one will be rejected — that is the most common reason a withdrawal
fails on the first try.
What the Trade URL Does and Does Not Allow
It lets someone send you an offer. Nothing more. It cannot take items out of your inventory, it cannot log in as you, and it cannot accept a trade on your behalf — every offer still has to be accepted by you, in Steam, from your own account.
That said, treat it as semi-private. Anyone holding it can spam you with offers, and trade-offer spam is the delivery mechanism for most skin scams. If yours leaks, click Create New URL on the same settings page; the old one dies instantly.
If a Trade Never Arrives
Three things account for nearly all of it, and two of them are Valve's rules rather than the sending site's:
- No Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator. Without it active for at least 7 days, Valve holds incoming trades for up to a week before they land.
- A trade ban or a limited account. Steam blocks trading outright in both cases, and nothing the sender does changes that.
- The URL was regenerated. Creating a new trade URL invalidates the old one, so any site still holding the previous value will fail. Paste the new one back in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my Steam trade URL the same as my profile URL?
No. A profile URL points at your Steam page. A trade URL contains a partner id and a token and is the only one that can receive trade offers.
Is it safe to give out my trade URL?
It cannot be used to take anything from you — only to send you an offer, which you still have to accept. Keep it reasonably private anyway, because it is what offer spam uses, and regenerate it if it leaks.
How do I reset my Steam trade URL?
Same settings page: Create New URL. The old link stops working immediately, so update it anywhere you have saved it.
